Winter Leadership Retreat


Check-in on Tuesday, Jan. 9 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and depart on Thursday, January 11 at 12:30 p.m. Settle in at The Carey Institute in scenic Rensselaerville, NY.

The intensive experience, which has been designed specifically for higher education leaders, will provide an opportunity to focus on higher-education leadership skills and competencies, including:

Day One: Leading in Higher Education (Tuesday, January 9, 9:00 – 10 a.m. check-in, program runs through the evening.)

  • Reflective Leadership: Why it’s important and how to do it
  • “Role-like” Group Discussions

Day Two: Leading High-Performing Teams (Wednesday, January 10, 7:15 a.m. – evening)

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Emotional Intelligence

Day Three: Leading Innovation (Thursday, January 11, 7:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)

  • Leadership Action Plans
