The Emotionally Intelligent Leader

This one-day workshop will focus on the ability to lead and manage others through an Emotional Intelligence Model. Special attention will be dedicated to identifying your strengths and opportunities for growth in the following areas:  Self-awareness, motivation, empathy, social skills, and self-regulation.

In today’s higher education landscape, it is not enough for faculty and administrators to be smart. Effective leaders need to have emotional intelligence, or EQ, in addition to strong IQs. Emotional intelligence is what enables people to manage emotions and behaviors effectively, to navigate the social complexities of the workplace, and to make decisions that will achieve results. This program is designed for faculty and administrative staff at a higher education institutions looking to expand their leadership skills.

  • Recognize and manage the emotions of others.
